what we do

what we do

PakPani are working hard to fund various water projects throughout Pakistan. Our projects range in scale and immediacy to ensure the needs of at-risk communities can be catered for.

By partnering with innovative companies and non-governmental organisations we provide communities that are desperately in need of this most basic human right with safe, easy to use water solutions. Through completion of these projects, we work with local tradespeople to provide much-needed employment as well as leveraging local community groups to educate and support communities in the use of clean water projects.

We typically deliver clean water in three ways, through distributing water filtration systems, completing drinking water projects or installing water sanitation systems. We work with communities on the ground to ensure projects deliver the maximum benefits.

Filtration Systems

PakPani deliver a range of water filtration systems to provide immediate relief to disaster-stricken areas. These systems are usually self-contained and instantly ready to use. One such system is the LifeStraw. This simple device eliminates 99.999% of water borne disease bacteria, parasites, and viruses, bringing clean drinking water quickly and reliably and preventing life-threatening disease from spreading through unclean water.

Water Projects

We work with local communities to identify long term solutions to water shortages that they experience. All our projects are unique and cater for the specific needs of the communities they serve. Our projects range from building water wells in market squares to installing water pumps near rivers so that remote communities can access water without travelling long distances. A single water hand pump can can help an entire village avoid life threatening diseases such as diarrhoea, hepatitis and typhoid.

Sanitation Systems

PakPani work with groups and communities in need to provide solutions to their sanitation needs.Sanitation is vital to improving the health and social mobility of communities and individuals that are usually the most disadvantaged. Our work has included the installation of toilet and cleaning facilities at a girl’s school and a waste water system in a community hospital.
